Education furniture specialists, Innova Design Solutions, are offering secondary school students the opportunity to win £20,000 of science laboratory furniture for their school. The ‘Design the Lab of the Future’ competition invites budding scientists, engineers and designers to submit designs of what they think the school science labs of tomorrow will look like.
Innova Design Solutions’ favourite submission will win £20,000 worth of the company’s intelligent, progressive education furniture. The winning team will also be awarded a £1,000 cash prize (£250 for a solo entrant).
The judging panel will be looking for innovation, creative flair and originality in the designs. The classrooms need to be practical, aiding modern curriculums and supporting the needs of students and teachers alike.
The competition is open to all students aged 11 to 16, attending secondary schools throughout England, including academies and independent schools. Entries must be submitted by 5pm on 27th February 2015.
Entries must include photos, computer visualisations or sketches depicting the design alongside written rationale, explaining the purpose and benefits of the design features.
